Chia seeds and Hemp seeds offer a complete protein along with lots of Omega fatty acids, fiber and anti-oxidants making this an ideal breakfast or pick me up shake. Camu’s vitamin C is 60 times more than an orange, and the pomegranate powder is especially high in Vitamin C and Potassium. The delicious smoothie is one of my favorite non dairy smoothies. Be sure to use all organic ingredients.
Serves 1 for a breakfast or snack. Feel free to double or triple….
1 ½ cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 cup water
3 tablespoons hemp seeds
2 tablespoons milled chia seeds or ground chia seeds
3 tablespoons coconut sugar
1 teaspoon camu powder
1 teaspoon pomegranate powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Blend all the ingredients together. Taste and add more coconut sugar, if you like. Enjoy!
Swap other seasonal fruits or use frozen berries.
