Monet’s Spring

Monet’s Spring by Leslie Cerier; Copyright © 2016 Leslie Cerier. All Rights Reserved to Leslie Cerier.

A sweet hike through the woods, out the back door of my home, you will come to a beautiful shallow stream. This is where I shot many of my impressionistic nature photos in peak afternoon light.  The spring rains and snow this year brought much life and spring green moss to cover the rocks in this shallow stream. A place of deep peace and beauty.  Continue reading

Spice Up Your Whole Grains

Organic, gluten-free, Vegetarian Sorghum Salad

Versatile and neutral flavored whole grains pair well with most herbs and spices. Above is my Mediterranean Sorghum Salad, a popular warm weather salad. With a satisfying chew similar to barley, gluten-free sorghum can be stir fried with African spices, or boldly dressed with a ginger miso dressing. Choose a colorful combination of bell peppers to create a festive dish. Continue reading

Garden Fresh Herbs on Salads

Salad with Chives, Olives, Hemp Seeds

Fresh herbs add flavor and jazz up fresh organic garden salads. For a delicious vegan main course salad, I garnished and added hemp seeds for a complete protein. Walnuts, too. Both are tasty and great sources of anti-inflammatory omega-3 essential fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, healthy fats. The chives and chive blossoms, olives, and a light dressing of an organic flavored organic clementine virgin olive oil and one of my own organic flavored vinegar’s, a blueberry vanilla fig balsamic vinegar, make a delicious salad. Great for lunch or dinner, and fun to Continue reading
