Years ago, the morning after a late night flight, I made this delicious, energizing cacao maca smoothie for breakfast. Quick and easy to prepare. All about the YUM and a healthy, indulgent, pleasurable way to start your day!
Chia seeds and cashews make a rich and creamy drink, a perfect indulgence, pick me snack or breakfast treat. Nutritious, vegan, gluten-free, non dairy smoothie is a personal favorite of mine.

Cacao Wake Up Smoothie
1 ½ cups organic cashews
5 ¼ cups water
¾ cup organic cacao powder
5 tablespoons organic chia seeds
¼ cup organic maple syrup or organic coconut sugar
1 tablespoon organic vanilla extract
1 tablespoon organic maca powder
1 tablespoon organic lucuma powder
Puree all the ingredients into a blender. Taste and adjust the sweetness, if desired.
