CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal TV September 11, 2014) – Forget the frozen pie crusts, make your own easy and healthy crust using walnuts! Leslie Cerier, the Organic Gourmet from, showed us how to make it.

Walnut Maple Piecrust
Makes 1- 9″ pie crust

1 1/4 cups organic walnuts
2 Tablespoons organic maple syrup
1 teaspoon organic vanilla extract

Grind the walnuts in a food processor. Add maple syrup and vanilla extract, and blend well. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan. Make the filling.

NOTES: Quick and easy, gluten-free, dairy-free, no bake pie crust is ready in minutes. Whip it up and add your favorite filling. Great for cheesecake! Walnuts offer vegetarian/vegan source of Omega 3s.
