Views of only a few of Leslie Cerier, The Organic Gourmet Chef’s organic, no till, raised beds, permaculture, Edible Forest Gardens; Lush in June 19, 2025

You can see the gorgeous purple flowering sage next to the hilled up Adirondack purple potatoes.

Since this video was made a week ago, those potato plants are now also mulched with straw, which keeps the weeds down and moisture in.

Also, pollinators love the flowering sage. I love to cut some of the flowering sage to put in vases around my home. However, most of the flowering sage is left in the garden to add beauty and nourish the pollinators.

And the sage is also a great companion plant for the potatoes among other plants in my garden such as summer squash. Companion plants help plant grow and protect them naturally from insects.

You can also see perennial horseradish, also a great companion plant for brassicas, asparagus and potatoes.

And last, but not least, you can see some of the 20 wild high bush blueberry bushes. While it can take about an hour to pick a quart of these wild sweet blueberries, they are yummy, and you can pick and nibble.

Fun, Healthy, Pleasurable and Delicious
