This weekend I taught a private vegan cooking lesson on zoom. The menu included vegan sushi also known as nori vegetable rice rolls and my famous organic cacao truffles aka cacao bliss balls.
Nice dinner for 2 adults.
The couple from Cincinnati used the shopping list I emailed to shop for ingredients. Organic veggies: radishes, carrots, kimchi, sprouts, avocado, hemp seeds, miso, tempeh and more.
“Going Wild in the Kitchen” they had fun; mixed and matched and rolled 8 different vegan sushi rolls.
For the truffles, they were missing key ingredients. Their local supermarket did not stock organic cacao butter or maca.
Improvising with what they had on hand, I helped them create a new delicious dessert treat: Cacao Peanut Date Bliss Balls; they loved the spontaneity of creating a new recipe.
